San Antonio -- The Place For Family Fun In Texas

Welcome to Family Fun In And Around San Antonio! My family and I have lived here for ten years now (February 2009.) We've discovered that this city offers many fun things to do for families with children and teens. It is also a great place for couples to honeymoon!

A video playing in the baggage claim area at the city's airport calls this the most exciting destination in the state of Texas. It is also the most visited in the state. We have something for everyone.

Of course, the most famous Texas symbol of freedom and sacrifice, The Alamo, is here, along with our world-famous River Walk. You can take a boatride on the River Walk and afterwards, eat some of the best Mexican food outside, along its banks.

The photo below shows the outer wall of the Alamo barracks with the top of the Alamo barely sticking up over the wall and some huge hotels in the background, along with the Tower of the Americas.

From great food, theme parks, museums and malls, to the best concerts and shows, to our world-champion NBA Spurs games and fabulous area festivals including ten days of Fiesta each April, San Antonio has it all!

Thank you for taking the time to visit Family Fun In And Around San Antonio to plan your trip. My name is Juanita and that is me in the photo above, on the River Walk, just after dark in December of 2008.

My family and I will guide you in and around The Alamo City, which is also known as River City. We'll show you all of the great things to do on your next trip to our city. Whether you are here on a family vacation or just visiting for the weekend, you will not be bored. Believe me, there is plenty to do!

There are family-friendly activities here for every budget. Some of the things we like to do are free or fairly cheap. Others are moderately priced. Of course, there are more expensive things to do here as well. Usually the expensive things are well worth the cost, such as a day at SeaWorld or Fiesta Texas!

No matter what your budget, you can show your family a great time during your stay in San Antonio Texas. Bienvenidos!

The photo above is a view of sunset from our home in September 2008.
